BitTorrent Announces Bundles

Last week BitTorrent announced that they will be launching a new kind of legal torrent format, the BitTorrent Bundle. The Bundle, which offers creators an opportunity to distribute and profit from their work independently, will include free content and act "as a gateway to additional material". The first thing many people think of when they hear the word "torrent" is illegal file-sharing, and BitTorrent's VP of Marketing Matt Mason is hoping that the Bundle will help to legitimize the format.
