Fist City
New KKBQ (93Q Country)/Houston morning co-host Andy “Riggs” Riggle (l), who joined the station last December, experienced his first Houston Rodeo with a personal challenge. He had a goal to get 93,000 fist bumps over the event's 20 days. Not only did he tap knuckles with thousands of fans at Rodeo Houston, he saved special milestones for some of the Country stars who played the Rodeo. Jason Aldean (r) was fist bump #20,000. Jon Pardi was fist bump #32,000. On St. Patrick's, Day, Cody Johnson got the honor of being lucky fist bump #77,777. And Riggs saved the 93,000th fist bump for Luke Bryan, who closed out Houston Rodeo with a sold-out show.

Warner Chappell Music Signs Pecos Hurley
Warner Chappell Music's Nashville office has signed a global publishing deal with Pecos Hurley of the Texas-based Country band Pecos & The Rooftops, which also recently signed a recording deal with Warner Records. They have been opening for Zach Bryan on tour in support of their streaming hit, "This Damn Song," and current single "5AM." Quartz Hill Records' Joe Nichols joined the team at WTHT (99.3 The Wolf)/Portland, ME, along with EMI Records Nashville's Kylie Morgan last week (2/28 & 3/1) for two sold-out shows at Erik's Church in Windham, ME to raise money for the Barbara Bush Children's Hospital at Maine Medical Center. When the big check was presented, the total raised was $44,000, but with Nichols auctioning off additional onstage time, the total raised was $50,000.
