An Important Reminder About Mental HealthMoods, thoughts and feelings both come and go if we don't get attached to them.
For people struggling with an anxiety disorder, or clinical depression however, the line is not as straightforward.
In my work as a Life Coach, and when dealing with my own emotional health issues, I have to remind myself that I'm not looking for a "cure" for a diagnosis.
Instead, dealing with mental health issues is a journey.
There are insights, practices and tools to be learned, but there is no easy button.
We may find ourselves doing well for a while, and then judge ourselves for "backsliding."
This is where we need to step back compassionately, and remind ourselves the path is not linear and that there is no final destination.
