Holiday consumers are expected to spend 6% more on electronics as gifts this season, according to the Consumer Electronics Association's 2011 Holiday Sales and Forecast.
The report found that consumers plan to allocate an average of $246 each on consumer electronics spending this holiday season, compared with last season's average of $232.
By now, most of the big box players have placed their holiday business -- but:
Many have local discretionary marketing budgets that can be tied to an event. Create one. Do a big on-air giveaway. And, get some extra bucks in the process.
There are still several independents out there. Share the news of this report with them and take them a big promotional idea and a compelling program to help them see this benefit of increased spending also!
