I know it seems like I'm on a rant lately about presentations, but this was in a recent Radio Sales Today daily e-mail and it is very relevant from John Potter. I love this idea"
Bear Bryant, longtime University of Alabama football coach, would often respond to reporters' post-game questions by saying he would have to look at the film before he would know. Although it sounded more like: "I gotta lookit the fim."
It is often painful watching our performances immortalized in video, but it is a great way to learn. Role playing improves presentation skill and better yet, is a video recording of yourself. FlipVideo, Kodak Pocket Video and other cameras are quite capable of the task and generally cost less than $150. Just add a small tabletop tripod and you'll be ready to record yourself.
Take your presentations to a new level: record, watch, learn, and improve. -
