Ask for Monday daily planners first thing today, so that folks have time to put together a strong Monday. A strong Monday makes for a strong week ... and a strong week makes for a strong month.....
Thursday 1/8, 2009Announce clever sales incentives for sellers and buyers that make you money -- meaning find a product that wants to spend heavily with you and then put some trade on top of it to really make the schedule work for them ... and then use the trade as an incentive to sellers and buyers who buy the new package. Make it fun and not too over-the-top expensive and it will not be a bribe just a good reason to talk more...
Wednesday 1/7, 2009Times are stretched. When was the business ever pacing double-digits behind last year? Well, you have to now work twice as hard just to be single digits behind last year. This is the time that radio needs you. You have been doing well because of it for a long time. Now is the time to give back well beyond what you get out of it ... and spread that thought process wide and deep. Start 8a new lead meetings ASAP daily.
Tuesday 1/6, 2009Take it day by day. Anxiety is the key obstacle right now to overcome.
Monday 1/5, 2009Create a new sales incentive campaign with some product you can trade for as the prize ASAP to get things moving. Be super-positive and grateful to be employees on day one 2009 ... and walk that talk by getting in earlier than ever and staying later. Solicit new ideas for 2009.
