It's always good to go back and re-read books or articles that positively influence you. Often you'll find a revelation that you didn't notice the first time through. Case-in-point: Richard Sands' "Everything I've learned in radio from A to Z," which he posted last year on his Facebook page www.facebook.com/thesandsreport
Here are a couple of my faves ... then go read them all and share them with your PD and programming team.
L is LOCAL: This is the most important concept for radio's long-term survival in this digital world. EVERY mic break should have a local element. Street name. Highway. Town name. Local hotspot. EVERY break.
Q is for QUESTION EVERYTHING. Just because it's "always been done that way" means nothing now in the on-demand You Tube/'smart phone as my personal radio" era.
