It's sad but true. We are the best (and worst) communicators. I'm amazed at how we go all out in letting listeners know about what's going on, but do not share that within the building (or even with our clients and partners). We assume that because the listeners are hearing it, so is our staff.
All too often, details on promotions are not shared with enough advance notice to get internal support or even maximize the event itself by engaging those who should be in the know and just might be able to make it better.
As we approach the back half of the year, take a look at your internal communications and figure out a way to make d@#n sure your team knows what's going ... everything from a new hire to a live broadcast. Over-communicate. Starting now!
