Legendary consultant Fred Jacobs once made a great point today by asking on, this, the morning after the Oscars, who is the best supporting role at your station? As we are reminded every year when we watch, it takes many, many people to create a great film, and all have a key role. Fred cites Seth Godin in his book "Linchpin," "it's about being indispensable."

Who is that person or people on your staff who are not on-air or the top salesperson, yet still equally viable?

Recognize them today ... Let them know you appreciate them ... maybe take them to lunch or take a half-day off....
