This is the last column of the year. AllAccess.com will still be here right through the holidays with all the breaking news, but this column is on hiatus until January 3rd.

I hope I don't have to tell you do this, but take some time for YOU over the holidays. This year was tough, but better than last ... and next year will be better still! But you need to re-charge and re-connect with your family and friends.

They put up with a lot from you ... all the stress, all the long days, all the extra time at home working. Tell them you love them. Tell them you appreciate their support. Tell them you will be better next year at not bringing it all home.

Tell yourself something, too. You aren't a magician that can wave his wand and fix everything. Understand what you truly CAN control ... and control it. Let it go of that which you can't. That focus will help.
