We are going to have make sure our staffs are focused on days like this. Perfect day to do some work that has to be done but we cannot afford to waste time on it. This should be the official budget day for radio and use it each year for that and/or some other task that can get out of the way so you do not have to do them on the prime sales days.

TV sweeps will not happen in February due the switch to HDTV. Better get the new business cranking. Thanksgiving will be a good day to target the folks to say thanks to on Friday, and close some 1st Quarter deals. You are going to need it.

Recruit new blood into radio from successful clients who use radio. They are great spokespersons for our business.

"Media Partner" will be a term that cannot be taken lightly anymore. Retailers will need real partners in terrestrial media to get out of this negative economic cycle. The day of positive hype around satellite radio is past. The reality of results for advertisers is here. Make sure folks on your staff know that we are approaching the new golden age for free over the air radio.
