Get a tight day of calls for Monday locked in on Friday morning. If you can get 20 sales calls a week belly button to belly button all 20 of your problems go away. And that goal starts with having a strong Monday of sales calls and a strong mMnday starts with a well-planned Wednesday and focused Friday. Your folks follow your lead. You slack off and 1000 folks slack off. They are watching what Dad does and they will do that, too!

Wrote Wednesday report on Thursday at 4am. Had to catch up after corporate in town for budgets and dinner with some clients. Stretched to the limit ... gotta love it! How many hours can you work and not drop to dig yourself out of this tougher than ever anticipated situation? Do you love the challenge or despise it. If you love something you can do it longer than if you despise it. The person who is in great shape at the gym learned to turn the pain into pleasure. The same in radio today applies!

Operating on the fly is not for everyone but it is for radio pros. Most in our business today are overwhelmed with activity, follow up, change, new technology, budgets, etc. Working harder than ever for less money and less accolades, but you have to love it and keep going because you love radio. No matter what kind of weather conditions are on game day, the football player loves to play football. Broken plays sometimes score touchdowns, just as perfectly run ones do too! If you are late for an appointment, still go ...maybe they are too. If you have only half the deal push it..."make some'n happ'n cap'n!" Radio works best on the fly, do you?
