If you haven't done so, make final preparations for your 4th Qtr incentive sale.....your sales manager's should be able to show you a plan that increases revenue vs. 07 by +10%. Successful 4th Qtr sales all come down to activity and preparation. Remember, this year is political too! don't get caught with low rates and not time to offer full boat advertisers.

The fall means planning if your station carries sports play by play. College or pro, the money is in the planning stage right now. Make sure your advertisers are EXCITED about the team's prospects for bringing home a championship. (Ok, not Seattle pro baseball) putting together a sports package for your News/talk station gives you a head start in fall billing. Now is the time.

Vacation season is upon us. As your "A" list people take their well deserved time away from the station make sure you are adequately covered both on the air and in sales. The audience and the advertisers don't get the memo on your best people being off. Are accounts covered? Are your vacation fill in people on the air sound "acceptable?" you don't want to send your audience or your billing across the street, even if it is the summer.
