Do you manage one of the clusters that have money for research? Plan ahead. Set the dates with the research company this week for fall 2008 now. You'll get the best dates to have your data back in time for the Fall book. Have a great weekend!

Do you have a heavy fall political season coming? Most states do! Now is a good time to
review and plan the dates for the FCC-mandated LUR (lowest unit rate) policy. Don't get caught with your rate down during the "window." Check with your FCC attorney for more info.

Memorial Day is approaching. The time to set the remote schedule is now. Have a package/plan on the street by Friday.

I suggest this every quarter: Once again it's time to review the public file. Make sure the person in charge has all files complete and updated. EEO recruiting is documented and up to date. Post all openings first. Many forget this. The FCC doesn't.

Is all the software on your station computers licensed? I know it's expensive, but it's important and necessary. Unlicensed software can expose the company to legal action and unnecessary expense if discovered. Have your "IT" person check. BTW, do you have a Mother's Day promotion planned for later this weekend?
