The holiday weekend is here. Are the vans gassed up, clean and properly staffed? You should be VERY visible this weekend. The Fall book starts in three weeks.

Before the holiday weekend, and after reviewing individual A/E pacing and projections, take 25 minutes to meet with the three A/Es lowest to goal and do a one-on-one to find out why they are so far behind.
Ask your DOS/GSM for a report on all annual business placed YTD.Then ask them for a detailed strategy to grow that business by an agreed-upon percentage. By the way, when was the last time you met with the quarters top-five accounts?

Are you doing a great job of communicating with your boss? Does he/she know all of the challenges you are facing? Does he/she buy into your plan to address the challenges you have? Is he or she getting you the resources you need to grow your cluster? It's YOUR responsibility to push corporate for support.

The Fall of 2007 promises to be a big political quarter. Make sure your lowest unit rates are in order (and in the public file as required.) Remember the 45-day window that is back-timed up to the election. Many state primaries are in January and February of 2008; it's not to late to get your political plan in place.
