Usually this time of the year is "the attack of the unused vacation time." Make sure everyone is covered. This is especially important in the traffic department. The traffic director has been here for 20 years. He/she has 3 weeks coming before 12/31. Are you covered?

What are you giving the biggest advertisers for the holidays? Planning starts now. There should be a "thank you" gift for the top 10 clients from you personally. (not the same gift the sales department gives to the other 300 clients) plan it now. It doesn't have to be expensive, just personal and creative.

The upcoming holidays will be hard on the Chief Engineer and his/her staff. Weather problems, power outage issues, anything that can happen usually does over the holidays. Review any maintenance issues, construction projects, , year end Cap-Ex issues, personnel coverage thru the year end.
