I don't if you saw this last week, but Price/Waterhouse/Coopers says, "Over the next five years digital technologies will progressively increase their impact across all segments of entertainment and media ... It is clear that the consumer is firmly in the driving seat of these changes."
So what does this mean to you right now?
Two things:
- Get your digital act together if you haven't already. So many radio stations are making hay online and you should, too. There are tons of sources. Build a strategy, dedicate necessary resources and commit. There is money to be made there.
- Help accelerate the demise of print. Just this week I had meetings with a major local realtor and a major local auto dealer group. Guess what both of them said? Almost to the word. "We have eliminated our print advertising entirely. It's completely ineffective." So, we went to work. Built a marketing plan full of digital applications and traditional spot messaging and booked two new orders.
The time is RIGHT NOW. Get your online act together and target print!
