While traveling recently to visit family, I encountered a radio station where everyone on the air sounded the same. Really. The live breaks were structured and sounded the same. The jocks were talking about what was important to the PD and not what was important to the community.

I probed the GM, who happens to be a good friend, and he hadn't really noticed (Problem 1). I asked if the PD (who is also on air) regularly works with the jocks, i.e: airchecks. He didn't know that, either. (Problem 2). When he got back to me, his response was "not really." (Problem 3). When he invited the midday host in, he asked him how the PD provides guidance to the air staff. The response was "not very much, I just try to reflect what 'Mike' (the PD) talks about in his show." (Problem 4).

This is so wrong on so many levels and I don't have to explain why. If you have a similar situation, FIX IT NOW. Or get a new PD.
