Online Ads Up 23% in Q1

Internet advertising continues to grow faster than any other advertising segment. The IAB’s figures for Q1 2011 show a 23% increase (year-over-year) to $7.3 billion. This is not only the highest Q1 total ever, it’s the biggest Q1 growth rate ever recorded.

By comparison, the RAB (Radio Advertising Bureau) shows radio revenue up 3% in Q1 to a total of $3.8 billion. In radio’s case, one of the biggest engines of growth was....digital.
