Facebook App for iPad Coming Soon

Facebook has been ahead of the curve in many areas in its brief but bright history, but it’s been late to the party on developing its own iPad app. Facebook was not optimized for the iPad so a number of 3rd party developers have developed their own versions. The same things happened with Twitter, which only recently launched its own apps, instead of relying on 3rd party products.

But that’s about to change, according to the New York Times. Facebook is getting ready to launch its own iPad app “within the next few weeks.” The new Facebook iPad app reportedly will take advantage of a number of the built-in features of the iPad, including the ability to shoot and upload photos and videos directly from the iPad’s built-in camera.
