Facebook Will Soon Be #1 in Display Ads

Research firm eMarketer predicts that Facebook will soon overtake Yahoo to become #1 in display advertising in the US. The eMarketer projection is for Facebook’s display ad revenue to increase to $2.2 billion this year. That’s an increase from a 12.2% market share in 2010 to 17.7% for this year. Yahoo and Google will fight it out for 2nd and 3rd place, with eMarketer predicting that Yahoo will win that battle. Here are their projections for this year:
