Some weeks ago we discussed the evolution of HTML5, a variation on the Internet's basic HTML architecture. HTML5 allows websites to be more versatile, embedding video and other versatile features. HTML5 has received a big boost from Apple's decision not to support Flash into its mobile browser and apps. Consequently, many content producers, especially those with video, have added compatibility with - or converted to - HTML5.
A survey by MeFeedia, a video search engine, shows how rapidly the HTML5 adoption is taking place. Here's a graph based on their findings:
