Apple’s long-awaited iTunes Match service went live last week. If you’ve updated your iTunes software to version 10.5.1, you’ve got access to Match. This latest music service from Apple goes beyond the cloud-based storage services offered by Amazon and Google. Mashable gives it a thumbs up.
Not to be outdone, Google became the latest Internet giant to launch a music download store. Going right down to the wire, Google signed deals with Universal, Sony & EMI just before the official launch. Google Music includes the download store, as well as free storage for up to 20,000 songs for each user. Here are the details from paidcontent.org.
