Earlier this year, following rioting in the U.K., sources reported that the U.K. government was considering contingency plans for blacking our social media sites if deemed a threat in times of national emergency. Now there have been a couple of studies with public reaction to that idea. Nearly 2/3 of people in a recent U.K. survey support the idea of a social media blackout.
