Check out this recent LA Times article on wireless provider Cricket and their music service that's helping the music industry reach an extremely underserved market: fans without computers. We often talk about the wide variety of alternatives to buying music available to consumers, but we forget almost all of these require a computer to engage with. With over 500,000 subscribers in less than a year, MuveMusic allows Cricket users to download music directly on to their phone.
