Microsoft Set To Roll Out Office For iPad in November

Multiple news sources are reporting that Microsoft will introduce Office for the iPad this November. The Business Insider is the latest to pin down the release date. Office and Windows are Microsoft's two biggest products, so making the office productivity suite available for the iPad was a no-brainer. Microsoft collaborating with, or launching products on other platforms designed by, competitors is no longer something that should raise an eyebrow. After all, years ago Microsoft introduced an Office for mac suite. And more recently, Microsoft's quickly-evolving Kinect platform shows the company's willingness to open its own system and collaborate with developers.
