Facebook Gifts

Yesterday Facebook invited members of the press to "come see what's new with Facebook gifts" on November 1st at the FAO Schwartz toy store in NYC. The invite offered no clues as to what may be announced at the event, but the news comes just after the Gifts service went live in late September of this year. This is the social network's first attempt at this kind of e-commerce, which allows members to buy and sell real gifts to friends via Facebook.
