Are Online Music Festivals the Future of EDM?

Forbes ran an interesting profile this week on a company called Mixify, which is looking to change the way the fans consume and interact with live EDM shows. Mixify streams high-quality audio and visuals from EDM events live online, creating a "virtual venue" for fans that are unable to attend the shows in person. The company also hosts their own festivals, the most recent of which drew "70,000 virtual attendees from 143 different countries."
