Half of EDM Tracks on the Radio Don't Receive Royalties?

Digital Music News reported this week on research which revealed that, due to incomplete track information, about 50% of EDM tracks played on the BBC's Radio 1 (which reaches over 11 million listeners per week) don't receive royalties. And it's also been reported that less than 50% of DJ's at popular festivals in the UK submit set lists – another source of royalty revenue that the original performers are missing out on.
