Twitter #Music Debuts

Twitter #Music, Twitter's much rumored standalone music service, finally debuted this week. For now, it's only available for desktop and iPhone. On iPhone, Twitter #Music is a separate app that users must download. According to a blog post released by Twitter, #Music "uses Twitter activity, including Tweets and engagement, to detect and surface the most popular tracks and emerging artists." The app also serves as a tool for users to discover their favorite artists' Twitter accounts and music-related information via artist-related Twitter activity.
