Why Apple Wants to Launch iRadio

Apple dominates the digital download world, and it looks like they are hoping to protect their spot at the top by joining the streaming industry with iRadio. But Apple's streaming service won't be following the same path as competitors like Spotify and Rdio – Gigaom reports last week that while iRadio will "offer users continuous streaming with limited interactivity, they will not be streaming full albums." Streaming full albums would hurt business for iTunes, while a more Pandora-like service has the potential to boost sales of digital music.
