Vodafone Wants to Build Philanthropic Apps

European carrier Vodafone began their first ever "Mobile for Good Europe Awards" this week. It's a competition seeking Android and iOS apps that are "designed to improve people's lives and deliver substantial public benefit".

The total prize is €200,000, and the winnings will be shared across four competition categories: 1) Accessibility 2) Health 3) Education 4) Public Services.
