Maker Studios to Launch Video Site

It was reported this week that YouTube content producer and partner Maker Studios will launch its very own video site by the end of the year.

No word on whether or not Maker's video site will compete directly with YouTube or simply "extend its brand onto a new site for its top videos", but YouTube partner Jason Calacanis recently named Maker as one of two different competitors that will emerge in the fall.
