Echo Nest Predicts Your Movie Tastes Based on Music Preferences

Music data mining company Echo Nest recently released data which claims to predict your movie tastes based on the music that you listen to. According to co-founder Brian Whitman "the purpose of the movie-music study is to show how the company's data can help customers such as Spotify and Rdio learn more about what their users want." Results include: Pixar fans are likely to listen to hip-hop artists, DC Comic movie fans prefer darker, rock heavy music, and fans of fantasy films are more likely to favor pop music.
