Facebook Makes Graph Search Public

Facebook made its Graph Search engine public this week, a tool which "aims to make the people, places, photos and other interests posted to Facebook more easily discoverable". TechCrunch put together an excellent article on why the engine needs more data and better signals to take on Google. Essentially, Facebook needs to gather data separate from their own and figure out how to get users to provide more data in order to succeed as a valuable tool. Read more about why here.
