A study released by Nielsen this week, has confirmed that tweeting does indeed boost live TV ratings. This is great news for the social media giant because, according to All Things D, "it will be seen as validation for a pitch Twitter has been making to networks for years" – that working with them will increase the number of people who tune into their shows.
