Spotify Launches "Follow" Buttons

In a bid gain more subscribers and make it easier for current users to connect with artists, friends, etc., Spotify launched Twitter-like "follow" buttons this week. Anyone can make a "follow" button for themselves, but the feature is mainly geared towards artists. After a user "follows" a band or artist, "they'll get seamless and relevant updates, like their favorite artist's latest album, or the pre-party playlist from their favorite music magazine."
