VH1 + NFL to Host Pre-Super Bowl Concerts

It was announced this week that VH1 and the NFL are teaming up to host 6 pre-Super Bowl concerts – one in NJ and the other 5 in each of the 5 boroughs of NY. The talent hasn't been announced yet, but with both VH1 and the Super Bowl's track records (Maroon 5, Rihanna, Train), the lineup is sure to be impressive. Each show will air live on VH1, and according to VH1 executive Rick Krim, "will be 'significant underplays' (i.e. playing smaller venues than artists normally would) for each of the acts."
