SiriusXM to Raise Price Again

SiriusXM CEO Jim Meyer announced last week that the company's regular, self pay radio service will increase by 50 cents next year, making the new monthly fee $14.99. This is a move that most digital music subscription services would not be able to get away with at this point, but Billboard believes that SiriusXM is able to do so for 4 reasons: 1) Distribution and conversion, 2) Programming, 3) Bundling, and 4) Barriers to entry.
