Sports Leagues to Make $17 Billion from Media Rights by 2017

According to a new study released by PricewaterhouseCoopers this week, sports leagues are anticipated to generate more than $17 billion dollars over the next five years, mainly from the selling of TV rights. 2013 network deals alone are expected to generate around $12.4 million for North American sports leagues, and PWC expects these revenues to continue growing faster for them than any other source.
