Beats Music to Launch in January 2014

This week Beats Music head Ian Rogers confirmed that the upcoming music service is "locked and loaded, ready to launch here in the US in January, 2014." Prospective users can already claim their desired username on beatsmusic.com, and, as Musically pointed out, appears to be open to users globally. We also know that Beats Music will be heavily based on curation and playlists, will be available on mobile and desktop, and will not "blat" out every song users play onto social media sites like Facebook.
