Google Announces Open Automotive Alliance

Google beat Apple to the car this week with the announcement of their Open Automotive Alliance at CES. The OAA includes "significant partnerships with four major automakers and a chipmaker to put Android in millions or maybe hundreds of millions of car dashboards." Major implications of this new initiative include: ability for music services and internet radio services to access FM/satellite listening, easier ability to connect to cars for Android users, and an increase in in-car functionality for music apps.
