A major decision in the battle for Net Neutrality dealt a huge blow to Internet advocates this week, when a federal court ruling "struck down rules designed to prevent the nation's largest broadband service providers from charging content companies for access to Internet 'fast lanes'." The ruling, among other things, essentially makes it legal for Internet Service Providers to charge companies for faster speeds on their websites, and reserve the 'slow lanes' of the internet for companies unwilling to fork over the extra cash.
