Rap Genius Launches App

Rap Genius launched a Shazam-like app this week – which allows users to "search Rap Genius, scan songs in the users' iTunes Library and match with annotated lyrics, and hold your phone up to music playing around you to locate the annotated lyrics for that song." This could be a move by the company to further legitimize business after being criticized out by the NMPA last year for hosting unlicensed lyrics.
