Tango Messaging App Raises $280 Million

It was announced this week that mobile messaging app Tango has raised an impressive $280 million in Series D funding. Tango, which boasts 70 million monthly active users, has evolved since its introduction in 2009 to include features like photo and music sharing, video/voice messaging, gaming, and even has an in-app store for stickers and decorations. According to TechCrunch, Tango plans to use their new funds for "further product innovations, hiring, aggressive expansion of content partnerships, and platform development".
