Xbox Entertainment Studios Shuts Down

Last week Microsoft announced that they would be firing around 18,000 employees and shutting down their console-based video initiative, Xbox Entertainment Studios. The closing of the studio is said to be related to issues negotiating with content creators, and a lack of a concrete plan for the venture. According to TubeFilter, CEO Satya Nadella and his team 'seem to be focused on strengthening the Xbox's gaming capabilities, and that requires the company to pull resources away from ventures like Xbox Studios."
