Spotify Adds New Video Ad Units

This week Spotify's marketing platform unveiled two new video ad units to "attract more ad dollars to support the company's free music platform." The new ad units, Sponsored Sessions and Video Takeover, will be launched with major partners like Coca-Cola, NBC, and Nike. "Sponsored Sessions" involves free users watching a longer video ad in exchange for 30 minutes of ad free music, and "Video Takeover" gives free users an opportunity to watch sponsored video ads in place of the usual audio-only ads.
