Maker Studios Surpasses Vevo

According to Comscore, Maker Studios just became the first online video outlet in years to surpass Vevo for the number 1 spot in the network rankings. Maker Studios pulled in about 45 million unique viewers in August, which is over 10 million more than they brought in in July, and 3.1 million more than Vevo brought in last month. According to TubeFilter, "This dramatic rise was partially caused by the increased incorporation of videos from Disney, which bought Maker earlier this year and runs a successful online video network of its own."
