Live Nation in Talks to Acquire C3?

It was reported this week that Live Nation is in talks to acquire the largest independent promoter in the US, C3 Presents. If a deal were to be done it would give Live Nation the majority stake in C3, which is worth around $250 million, and allow Live Nation to expand its business with the C3 produced Lollapalooza and Austin City Limits festivals. According to Hypebot, "the deal would also help Live Nation expand internationally as C3 has grown the Lolla brand in a number of Latin American markets in recent years as well, with events in Chile, Brazil and Argentina."
