It was reported this week that FCC chairman Tom Wheeler has put forth a proposal that would "change the regulations that preclude Internet companies from becoming "multi-channel video providers" (MVPDs), such as cable and satellite TV providers."The major proposal has not been adopted or voted on yet, but if it were to go through it would mean that companies like Aereo, Google, and Amazon would be able to directly compete with companies like Comcast and Time Warner.
